o Reflecting an attitude of trying out new approaches, both suggesting those of the past and those suggested by learning from other disciplines.

o Emphasizes learning through experiences that enable us to ‘know’ what others have felt and meant by their teachings and observations.
· Exploratory
o Is based on the willingness to explore what certain solutions would feel and be like.
· Explanatory
o Is based on learning what went into given customs, decisions, approaches without pre-judging these elements
· Ethno-therapy
o Provides an environment in which to examine our own ethnic identity and an environment in which we can establish our Jewishness as a positive resource in our lives.
· Ecumenical
o Fosters interaction with the non-jewish world as positive sharers of the wisdom and life lessons of our Jewish Historical experience.
· Exciting
o Develops an approach to life that encourages us to live moral an ethical lives fully involved in the world.
